A short where and how I set myself a reading challenge for 2020 and why you should do the same and join me for 2021!
Ah...2020. What a year, huh? So many things went awful and it truly is a year no one will ever forget. BUT if there's one thing I can be super proud of is how much I NAILED my reading challenge. I had set myself the goal to read 12 books throughout the year and managed to read a whole 16!!!! (...and a half, technically! Lol)
So, what are you waiting for?! If you wanna join me on a reading challenge in 2021, get yourself registered at www.goodreads.com NOW! Whether you're a newbie reader or a book worm, set your own reading challenge and see that total page number satisfyingly rise!
Now. First things first. Make sure to follow me on #goodreads. (hey, priorities)
There you can have a look at all my reviews for the past year, my challenge, my numbers and more!
2020: the year of eye-opening books and new perspectives
I won't go into much detail here because at least you'll die of curiosity and want to follow me on #goodreads asap (muahaha - evil laughter - or something like that). But I do want to list below a few favourite books amongst all those I've read in these 365 days (no wait...366?! Was it a leap year? Oh whatever, it's the least of our concerns, stupid 2020!).
Let's do a top 5, shall we... All equally brilliant, all 5-star reviews to me, just so different from one another, truly recommend each one of these!
- "The Bingo Theory", Mimi Ikonn
- "Year of Yes", Shonda Rhimes
- "Lost Connections", Johann Hari
- "Stop thinking, start living", Richard Carlson
- "Don't sweat the small stuff, and it's all small stuff", Richard Carlson
Thank you so much for reading, and remember to check out my youtube video of my 2020 in books! (And click that subscribe button will you? I CAN SEE YOU.)
Lots of love, Emma xoxo
